Robert J. Scanlon: Biographical Information
Bob earned a BS in Metallurgical Engineering from Missouri University for Science & Technology and holds four Certifications: Quality Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Quality Management/Organizational Excellence, and Six Sigma Black Belt from the American Society for Quality (ASQ). He was elected a Fellow by the ASQ Board of Directors in 2011.
His 46-year career included staff and management positions with Caterpillar, Inc.; Southern Pacific Railroad; the US Postal Service; and the Transportation Security Administration where he was responsible for Security Operations metrics infrastructure.
Since 1995, he has served for over 20 years as a Member of the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, earning the distinction as Master Baldrige Examiner.
Since 2017 he has served as an Adjunct faculty member of the Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America where he teaches courses in: Supply Chain Management; Quantitative Methods in Decision Making; and Business Intelligence.
